The THOMAS AND MARY (HARRIS) LESLIE REUNION to be held Saturday, July 16, 2016, at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 904 Acorn Gap Rd, Madisonville, Tennessee. Check-in and socializing begins at 9:30 a.m.Come earlier for a cooler visit to the church’s cemetery. Everyone will gather together at 11 AM for a group photo, catered lunch ($10) and a short program. The event will be kid-friendly and the church is wheelchair accessible with an elevator for stair-challenged knees.

ANCESTOR INFO: Thomas and Mary Leslie came to the Mecca Pike area in 1819 from the Pendleton District of South Carolina. They lived in Tellico Plains on property in both McMinn and Monroe Counties. They had 11 children and 4 of the adult children moved with them in 1819. Thomas was a veteran of the Revolutionary war, serving under Andrew Pickens and was in the Battle of Cowpens and the Siege of 96.
